LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) assists in the implementation of the nursing process and in assessing and rendering physiological and psychological care for patients. Critical thinking and compassionate approach are combined within a framework of partnership as reflected in the Main Line Health Professional Practice Model. Utilizing knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span of these patients, the Licensed Practical Nurse demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care.  The Licensed Practical Nurse engages in clinical, departmental, and shared decision-making initiatives, resulting in a culture of safety and a superior patient experience.
