ED techs are an integral and valued part of the nursing support team, working in concert with other clinical team members to provide the safest and most superior care possible to patients. The emergency department tech job highlights include: collaborating in a team-structured environment under the supervision of a RN, and performing specific nursing-related and procedural duties for the personal care and comfort of patients. Additional responsibilities will include: hands-on clinical care which includes checking vital signs, glucose checks, phlebotomy, EKGs, and assisted daily living activities.
