Compensation: $101,857.60 - $157,809.60

As a Senior IT Facilities Specialist, you play a critical role in ensuring that our enterprise data centers and intermediate communication rooms (ICRs) operate securely, efficiently, and without interruption. In this role, you will oversee the physical environments that support our most mission‑critical systems. You will proactively manage facility operations, monitor environmental conditions, and respond quickly to issues that could impact system uptime. You will serve as a key liaison between IT, Facilities, vendors, and internal stakeholders—holding contractors accountable for quality service delivery while ensuring internal customer needs are met. Your expertise will guide the design and implementation of structured cabling across facilities, and you will oversee IT‑related moves, adds, and changes that affect infrastructure assets. Through strong operational oversight and project coordination, you will help ensure that IT facilities are optimized, scalable, and aligned with organizational needs—directly supporting business continuity and the delivery of exceptional patient care. What You’ll Do
- Ensure the reliable, secure, and efficient operation of enterprise data centers and ICRs across Main Line Health.
- Proactively monitor and manage environmental, electrical, and physical conditions to maintain system uptime and prevent service disruptions.
- Serve as the primary liaison between IT, Facilities, Construction, and external vendors to coordinate infrastructure work and ensure quality service delivery.
- Oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of structured cabling systems across facilities.
- Manage IT‑related moves, adds, and changes (MACs) that impact infrastructure assets, ensuring proper planning, documentation, and execution.
- Conduct routine inspections of IT facilities to ensure compliance with safety, performance, and regulatory standards.
- Respond to facility‑related alerts, outages, and emergencies, providing timely resolution and communication.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including cabling diagrams, equipment inventories, and environmental reports.
- Support project planning and execution for renovations, expansions, and new construction involving IT infrastructure.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical support to junior team members and cross‑functional partners.

What You Bring Required:
- 10+ years of direct experience in high‑performance or mission‑critical data center management, IT facilities operations, or a related infrastructure role.
- Strong understanding of data center environments, structured cabling standards, and physical infrastructure best practices.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating with facilities, engineering, or construction teams.
- Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve facility‑related issues quickly and effectively.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and vendor‑management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast‑paced healthcare environment.
- Ability to participate in a 24/7/365 on‑call rotation.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience in healthcare or other highly regulated environments.
- Familiarity with environmental monitoring systems, UPS units, and physical security controls.
