As the Nurse Practitioner, you would perform acts of medical diagnosis or prescription of medical therapeutic or corrective measures in collaboration with attending physicians and residents. As an advanced practice nurse, this role involves independent judgment and decision-making as well as consultation and collaboration with other members of the health care team. You would enhance the continuity of quality patient care; amplify communication between the physician, family members, and the health care team; and extend the capabilities of the medical care team. Since this is a Perioperative Nurse Practitioner role, you would be required to perform clinical procedures outlined by the individual department requirements. Overall, this position is critical in leading quality and evidence-based care initiatives that will result in achieving optimal patient outcomes and improved patient satisfaction.

Position: Per Diem, Family Nurse Practitioner 
Shift: Per Diem - monthly, weekend and holiday requirement

Experience:
1. Two years Family Nurse Practitioner experience preferred in Urgent Care or Emergency Department.
2. A minimum of two years nursing experience in Urgent Care or Emergency Department preferred.

Education:
1. Completion of an Nurse Practitioner program required.
2. MSN required.

Licensures/Certifications:
1. Licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nurse Examiners as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP).
2. BLS certification required.
3. ACLS certification required.
4. ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support) with in 1 year from start of employment.
5. Additional certifications specific to specialty may be required or preferred. Refer to the specialty addendum.
6. Successful completion of the MLH credentialing process through the Medical Staff office, with temporary or permanent privileges approved.

This position requires you to wear a respirator as part of the job requirement.
