As an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) you would perform acts of medical diagnosis or prescription of medical therapeutic or corrective measures in collaboration with attending physicians and residents. As an advanced practice nurse, this role involves independent judgment and decision-making as well as consultation and collaboration with other members of the health care team. You would enhance the continuity of quality patient care; amplify communication between the physician, family members, and the health care team; and extend the capabilities of the medical care team. This position will require travel between all MLH Hospitals and provide per diem coverage in our Hospitalist Medicine and ICU departments.

Position: Per Diem, Nurse Practitioner- Hospitalist Medicine and ICU
Shift: Per Diem - minimum 2 shifts/month covering mainly swing and night shifts
Experience:
1. Two years Nurse Practitioner experience in an ICU setting is required.
2. A minimum of two years nursing experience in a critical care setting preferred.
Education:
1. Completion of a Nurse Practitioner program required.
Licensures/Certifications:
1. Licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of certification by Board of Nurse Examiners as a Certified Registered Nurse
Practitioner (CRNP)
2. BLS certification required.
3. Current license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania without restriction
4. Prescriptive Authority and Collaborative Agreement with the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing (CRNPs)
5. Registration with the DEA to prescribe, without restriction or limitation
6. Current ACLS certification Required
7. Completion of the MLH and MLHC credentialing processes resulting in temporary or permanent privileges issued and successful payor enrollment.
