You will be responsible to ensure the completion of insurance verification, pre-certification, first party payment arrangements and Time of Service collections (TOS) notification throughout Main Line Health (MLH) for all pre-scheduled inpatient, SPU, Surgi Center, and MSPU as well as all high dollar outpatients scheduled through the MLH Centralized Scheduling Call Center.

Position: Pre-Encounter Representative
Shift: Full Time - Day Shift

Experience:
1. Two or more year’s recent work experience financial counseling department or patient registration required.
2. Excellent understanding of third party reimbursement and methodologies for all third party payers especially pre-certification and COB regulations required.
3. Experience working with billing and financial data preferred.
4. Knowledge of insurance and reimbursement preferred.
5. Working knowledge of medical terminology required.
6. Working knowledge of patient management and patient accounting computer systems required.


Education:
High school diploma / GED Required.
