The Lead Medical Staff Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Medical Staff Services Department, ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards, and supporting organized medical staff activities. This role provides guidance, and subject matter expertise in credentialing, privileging, governance, and committee administration. The Lead Coordinator serves as a liaison between medical staff leadership, hospital administration, and clinical departments

Position: Lead Coordinator for Med Staff Credentialing
Shift: Day

Experience:
1. Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Medical Staff Services, credentialing, payer enrollment or related healthcare administrative role.
2. Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
3. Demonstrated knowledge of accreditation and regulatory requirements, with experience developing and implementing credentialing policies and procedures
4. Excellent data management/database skills/proficiency in credentialing software systems

Education:
1. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field preferred. In lieu of a degree, 3–5 years of progressively responsible experience in a healthcare setting—preferably within medical staff services or payer enrollment—will be considered, along with demonstrated interpersonal and effective communication skills.


Licensures/Certifications:
Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) preferred, but not required
