• Make an Impact! As the Lead Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) you will  participate  in and oversees education of the nursing staff within their identified specialty throughout the health system.  He/she is accountable for providing leadership to fellow CNEs and staff in the maintenance of professional nursing practice and provision of quality patient care within a culture of safety. The Lead Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) reports to the System Director of Nursing Education & Competency and indirectly to the appropriate Clinical Environment Workgroup (CEW). He/she works collaboratively with other departments to ensure high quality educational programs in the classroom and in the clinical setting. The Lead CNE is responsible for ongoing evaluation of orientation classes, staff training, competency validation, and evidence based education of staff. The Lead CNEis a leader and facilitator in shared decision-making initiatives and at the clinical, departmental, and system levels. This position is based from Riddle Hospital with Clinical Nurse Educator duties for the Riddle Hospital Emergency Room.

Position: Lead Clinical Nurse Educator  Emergency Room
Shift: Days with 20% off shift Responsibilities

Experience:
1. Unit/ specialty-specific. Prior Clinical Nurse Educator or other related educator experience required

2. 3-5 years clinical experience in the area of expertise preferred

Education:
1. Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing.

2. At least one degree must be in nursing (i.e., BSN or MSN).   A Masters degree is required and may be in a related field if BSN is held.  Ability to communicate proficiently in English to perform job duties.

Licensures/Certifications:
1. PA RN license.
2. Provider BLS (American Heart Assoc/American Red Cross) preferred.
