Under the general supervision of the laboratory supervisor, the Lab Assistant II processes and handles specimens for testing in multiple Clinical and Anatomic areas of the laboratory. You may be required to obtain blood specimens on patients of all ages by venipuncture and micro-collection techniques for laboratory analysis. The work you do here makes a tremendous impact!

Position: Lab Assistant

Shift: Monday-Friday 8 hour shifts between 6:45am-8:00pm with every other weekend rotation. Holiday rotation as needed. Travel between Main Line Health sites as needed (Exton, Paoli, Concordville and Broomall)

 

Experience:

Working knowledge of medical information systems preferred.

Moderate knowledge of medical terminology.

Excellent verbal, written, computer and clerical skills.

Phlebotomy experience required

 

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Licensures/Certifications:

Certification as a Medical Assistant or related field preferred.
