Use your dynamic leadership abilities in building and leading our interdisciplinary team within our unit which handles approximately 1200 births per year with 16 post-partum beds, 5 labor and 4 triage beds and unit. You will work alongside the Nurse Manager to ensure safe, high quality patient care. Given the responsibility to provide on-going feedback to staff, promote and participate in departmental goals, and coordinate staffing needs and schedules, you would also collaborate with the Nurse Manager and other team members to interview and select staff to join the team. As the Assistant Nurse Manager, you would be supporting a team caring for women during childbirth and post-partum needs. Our unit is supported by level II NICU. In additional to the amazing nursing staff, Physicians, Nurse Midwives, Lactation Consultants and OB Technicians are part of the team.

Position: Assistant Nurse Manager - Birthplace
Shift: Fulltime Day Shift with a Minimum of 20% rotation to Off-Shift
Experience:
1. Three to Five years of recent Labor Delivery Mother Baby nurse experience preferred.
2. Prior charge nurse experience or other leadership experience preferred.
Education:
1. Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
2. BSN or other related Bachelor's Degree required.
3. MSN or other related Master's Degree preferred.
Licensures/Certifications:
1. PA RN license OR a multi-state license verified in one of the approved states through the Nursing Licensure Compact.
2. Provider BLS (American Heart Association / American Red Cross) required.
3. Certification in specialty area is desired.
